APPLE PIE BITES by

Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 package refrigerated pie crust
2 tbsp. butter, melted
2 medium tart apples, peeled, cut in 8 slices each

Instructions

1. Combine sugar and cinnamon, set aside 1 tbsp. mixture
2. Unroll pastry and brush on 1 tbsp. butter and sprinkle some sugar mixture.

3. Place apple slices into bowl with remaining sugar mixture and mix.

4. Cut pastry into strips about 1 inch wide 5 inches long (16 strips).

5. Wrap one strip around apple wedge, placing sugar side against apple.

6.Place "pies" on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Brush on remaining butter and reserved sugar mixture.

7. Bake at 425 degrees for 10-13 minutes until golden brown.
