Hearty Clam Chowder by Patty Mueller

Ingredients

4 strips bacon, cooked & diced 1/3 cup chopped green onion 5 med. potatoes cut into 1/2 in.cubes 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper 1 stalk celery,chopped 1 carrot, chopped 1 clove garlic 2 cups water 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce 4 drops Tobasco 2 cups clams 2 cups 1/2 & 1/2

Instructions

In large kettle cook bacon until crisp. Add green onion, potatoes, green pepper,celery,carrot,garlic,water,salt&pepper. Boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 min or until potatoes are tender.
In separate pan heat clams in their own nectar over medium heat for 3 min. until tender. Add clams & 1/2&1/2 to mix. Stir well until blended and simmer until piping hot.
