Spicy Oven-Roasted Chickpeas by Madeleine Skorcz

2 (15-ounce) cans chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, thoroughly drained and rinsed (about 3 cups) 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon sea salt


1) Heat the oven to 400F and arrange a rack in the middle.
2) Place the chickpeas in a large bowl and toss with the remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
3) Spread the chickpeas in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet
4) Bake 15 minutes, pull out and let cool if not crisping and mix up
5) Bake until crisp, about 15 minutes
