Baked Rotini by latsyrk27

Ingredients

1 lb hamburger - browned & drained Basil Oregano garlic (not garlic powder - minced garlic or fresh minced garlic works best) 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese (fresh shredded is best) 1/2 to 3/4 cup shredded cheese - I had cheddar on hand so that is what I used package of rotini noodles - cook them per package instructions minus a few minutes - do not overcook! You can use any kind of noodle here really - so get creative. cottage cheese - I didn't have a full container - so I used what we had 1/3 package of cream cheese - figured I needed to make up for the lack of cottage cheese 1 jar of spaghetti sauce

Instructions

Pile the boiled & drained rotini noodles into a baker. I used the round casserole stone from Pampered Chef - but probably could have used the rectangular baker. Spread the noodles out evenly.
Combine the browned hamburger, spaghetti sauce, about 2 cloves of garlic, about 1 TBS basil, and about 1/2 TBS oregano in a bowl (or the pan you used to brown the hamburger to save on dishes!). I also chopped up some fresh spinach to sneak more veggies into the meal. I know, I'm sneaky.
Mix the ingredients & then spread evenly over noodles.

Combine the cottage cheese, parmesan and whatever other kind of shredded cheese you are using. Add the cream cheese in & mix well. I add another clove of garlic to this as well as some basil. . .maybe a couple of teaspoons. We like the added flavor.

Spread this over the meat sauce.

Place in oven for approximately 25 minutes at 375.
