Karen's Ortega Souffle by Elaine Remez

Serve with fruit salad and hot tortillas.

Ingredients

2 lb. Jack cheese sliced 1/4" thick 4 cans whole ortega chiles (or 1 large & 1 small can) 9 eggs 1 can evaporated milk a little flour 1 cube butter (can use less)

Instructions

Layer in big pan bits of butter, cheese, chiles, sprinkling flour.
Repeat layers until end of ingredients.
Make 1 more layer on top.
Beat eggs & milk and pour on top.
Bake at 350 degrees, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
