Beer Can Chicken by cpeirson

The is THE BEST prepared whole chicken I have ever had - tender and very moist.

Ingredients

1 3 1/2-4lb whole chicken 1 12oz beer drip pan cooking spray your favorite rub or seasonings

Instructions

Heat outside grill to 325. Drink half the beer and place the can on the drip pan. Spray the outside of the can with cooking spray. Slide the chicken over the can, balancing the chicken on it's two legs...like a tripod. Holding the chicken, season the outside of the chicken. Place on grill, cover, and bake until meat thermometer reaches 170. Remove from grill and let stand 10 minutes before lifting it from the can.

Note: if the top of the chicken is close to the top of your grill, tent with aluminum foil.
