Beef Brisket by MissKay

Ingredients

1 beef brisket about 3 lbs 2 cups apple cider, divided 1 head of garlic, separate cloves, peel and crush 2 tbs peppercorns 1/2 cup fresh thyme 1 tbs cajun seasoning and mustard powder 1 tsp each ground cumin, celery seed, allspice 1 bottle dark beer *OPTIONAL*

Instructions

Place brisket, 1/2 cup cider, garlic cloves, and all spices in a zip lock bag or dish to marinate over night. Save 1 1/2 cups of cider and beer until the next day.

Place brisket and marinate in the crock pot and add remaining 1 1/2 cups cider and beer. Cook on low for 10 hours, strain sauce and use as a dip if you like.
