Shrimp and Crabmeat Au Gratin by Taillon Family Recipe's

Ingredients

1 lb. 90-110 Count Shrimp boiled and peeled 1 cup fresh mushrooms 4 1/2 cup chopped yellow onions 2 1/4 cup chopped celery 6 tablespoons margarine or butter 1 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 2 1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper 2 1/2 tablespoon granulated garlic 1/2 cup self-rising flour 3 Egg yolks 1 (12 oz) can of evaporated milk 8 oz. American chees, cubed 8 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded 1 lb white crabmeat (Lump) 1/2 cup chopped green onions 1 cupfresh mushrooms sliced

Instructions

Boil shrimp and mushrooms together three to four minutes. Drain. Finely chop mushrooms set aside. In a large saucepan, saute yellow onions and celery in margarine or butter. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes over low heat. Add salt, cayenne pepper, garlic and flour. Stir. In a separate bowl, mix egg yolks and milk. Add egg yolk mixture to saucepan. Add both cheeses. Add boiled shrimp and chopped mushrooms that have been set aside. Add sliced mushrooms and crabmeat. Stir. Cook until creamy. add green onions. Spoon into a casserole dish. Bake 20 minutes at 450 degrees.
