SOUTHERN STYLE CABBAGE SOUP by Daellam

TIP: Add green beans, corn, lentils or any vegetables you like. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE the Knoor - flavor and low sodium content.

Ingredients

small head cabbage, chopped 2 pounds lean ground beef 2 - 14 1/2 oz cans stewed or diced tomatoes 1 can Rotel Tomato and Green Chilies 2 - 8 oz cans tomato sauce 1 large onion, chopped 4 stalks celery, finely chopped 1 small bell pepper, finely chopped diced potatoes 2 tbsp. salsa, optional Knorr Beef Broth, makes 3 cups broth Spices - season to taste: cayenne pepper chili powder 4 cloves garlic pinch salt paprika black pepper Tony Chochere's Creole Seasoning Salt-free Mrs Dash

Instructions

1. Saute celery, onion, bell pepper, and garlic in olive oil, set aside.

2. Brown ground beef and drain off fat, lightly toss cabbage in 4 tbsp. butter until cabbage is tender.

3. Add cabbage, other ingredients until cabbage is tender and potatoes are soft.

4. Combine all ingredients in Dutch Oven or large pot and cook until potatoes are tender.
