Custard Vanilla - Stovetop Instructions by Catherine Dunn

Makes: 500mL Vanilla Custard

For a thicker or thinner custard use more or less custard powder accordingly.

Ingredients

2 tbspn custard powder 2 cups milk

Instructions

1. Place 2 level tbspn of custard powder and 1 tbspn sugar in a saucepan.

2. Blend with sufficient milk (approx. 2 tbspn) from 2 cups to make a smooth paste.

3. Gradually add remaining milk. Slowly bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.

1 cup = 250mL

1 tbspn = 20 mL
